3 c sugar
1 c salad oil (e.g. canola)
3 1/2 c flour
1 1/2 t salt
1 t cinnamon
1/2 t nutmeg (optional)
2/3 c water
4 eggs
2 t baking soda
1 can pumpkin
Dissolve sugar in oil and water. Add eggs and mix. Add all dry ingredients. Add pumpkin and mix well. Pour into greased and floured loaf pan(s). E.g., 2 9x5x3 pans Bake about one hour at 350. Bread freezes well.
