In the picture, I'm serving as a roosting spot for a juvenile Trinidadian (male?) Saccopteryx bilineata bat, Junior. Unfortunately, I'm not much of a bat dad; Junior died a day or so later.

This is my personal webpage. For information about my life as a statistician, see my professional home page, Apart from work, I volunteer regularly (GED tutoring), bike, travel, etc. I live in Boston, which some, including myself, view as the center of civilization. For those interested in the etymology of the URL, my father's side of my family is all Polish; 'paciorek' is a Polish surname; in Polish it means 'little prayer'. So far my personal website is a bit sparse, but there are some good recipes, some quotes I like, and a small assortment of other things, some of them out of date. When I figure out the work-life balance thing, I'll try to round this out.
